The Springfield Chapter is one of sixty-nine Chapters in the Central Area. The Springfield Chapter was established by Lucille Ginn with sixteen members in October of 1956. We recently celebrated our 50th anniversary. The Chapters rich history of activities has helped to eliminate racial barriers in the community through its many facets. Early on the Links partner with the Junior Service League in helping to bring Broadway plays and inter-cultural activities to our City. In the spring of 1967, the Springfield Chapter hosted the Central area Conference and in 2000 co-hosted the area Conference in Columbus Ohio. The Springfield Links were pioneers in establishing and sponsoring programs such as Etiquette Programs for young women that was housed at the YWCA.
